Diversity
At Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Pérez Abogados, we believe that diversity is not just a policy, but an integral part of how we practice law. We promote environments where every individual can reach their full potential, free from any form of discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or physical and social condition.
Recognized leadership in the region
We have been consistently recognized in the Chambers Latin America Awards over the past six editions, with nominations and distinctions across various Diversity and Inclusion categories. This commitment has also been highlighted by other legal rankings and awards in the region, such as the Legal Marcom Awards and IFLR1000. Taken together, these recognitions position us as a leading firm in diversity and inclusion within the legal sector in Latin America.

Partnerships and certifications
Our commitment to diversity is reflected in our participation in initiatives and certifications that independently assess our internal practices.

“We are part of Pride Connection, a network of companies that promote best practices to create safe work environments for the LGTBIQ+ community, contributing to a more inclusive country.”

“We are the first and only law firm to receive the Empresas Presente Certification and to be recognized among the best companies for LGTBIQ+ talent.”

“We are part of the Business and Disability Network (RED), which promotes socio-labor inclusion, decent work, and employability for people with disabilities within business organizations and public and private institutions in our country.”
Our five diversity pillars
We work across five pillars that guide our actions and translate into concrete initiatives within the firm:

Promovemos la conciliación de la vida familiar con el desarrollo profesional, otorgando licencias de maternidad y paternidad con opciones de retorno progresivo, licencia por adopción, entre otras.

Nuestro compromiso está enfocado al 100% en una cultura con diversidad e inclusión donde se prohíbe todo tipo de discriminación por razones de identidad y expresión de género, orientación sexual, raza, religión, condición física o social.

We provide access to our health insurance plan for the partners of our LGTBIQ+ members. We also have guidelines for the use of the chosen name of trans individuals and guidelines for inclusive communication.

We have a pre-professional internship program exclusively for law students with disabilities, as well as a pre-professional internship program aimed at law students from universities across different provinces of Peru.

We implement policies and guidelines for each of our five pillars: women’s empowerment, LGTBIQ+ inclusion and rights, work-life balance for mothers and fathers, disability inclusion, and socio-economic, racial, ethnic, and geographic inclusion.
