We advised FCC Aqualia in the structuring of the Co-financed Private Initiative “Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales de Chincha” awarded under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) modality
We have advised the Spanish company FCC Aqualia in the award of the project for the execution of the project Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales de Chincha (PTAR Chincha). This project, which represents a total investment of 96.5 million dollars, covers the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant over a period of 24 years, benefiting more than 345 thousand inhabitants of seven districts in the province of Chincha, south of Lima.
The project, developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, includes the installation of approximately 21 kilometers of main networks and impulsion lines, a pumping station, two treatment plants with a total capacity of 0.6 cubic meters per second and 7.7 kilometers of lines for the final disposal of treated water. These works will reduce pollution, protect local ecosystems and improve the quality of life of the population, reducing the incidence of diseases related to inadequate wastewater management.
Our Administrative Law, Projects and Infrastructure team that included our partners Gerardo Soto, Michelle Aramburú and Juan Antonio Egüez, played a key role in the structuring and approval of the project, providing comprehensive advice that included an exhaustive review of the legal documentation, in addition to negotiations with Proinversión.
Our previous experience in similar consultancies contributed to each phase of the project being successful and aligned with the client’s strategic objectives. In this way, regulatory compliance and the approval and award of this important private initiative were guaranteed, which positions FCC Aqualia as a key player in the advancement of sustainable infrastructure in Peru.
FCC Aqualia has extensive experience in the sanitation sector and is present in 17 countries, in addition to Peru: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Chile, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, the United States, France, Georgia, Italy, Mexico, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, the Czech Republic and Romania.
